Glass is invisible

Our first glass shot looked like pink soap. Transparent material on a plain grey backdrop has nothing to refract, so it reads as frosted plastic. Glass is only as good as what you can see through it.

The fix was to put two solid pink capsules in the cluster. Now every clear capsule bends and splits them, with a thin rainbow edge from the dispersion setting. Two black flags in the lighting draw the dark outlines that tell your eye it’s glass.

Move the cursor through the shot and the capsules drift away from it on soft springs. We made it for the reel, and clients now ask for it in product pages.
